Most of the tattoo art that I create is visionary for the client, some clients come to me with their own ideas with motivational stories as to why they wish to collect these chosen subject matters. Then there are a few emails that come through, that are requesting art work to help them in a healing journey, to love what they see in the mirror again. And this client is no exception to the feels, creating a piece post a double mastectomy, a few years after reconstruction surgery, her scars have settled, and it was now time to create her piece. Iris’s were the theme, not identical, a slight asymmetry, one design higher than the other. 3 sessions it took to complete this art work for her, and she gave me permission to share, so that other women can see what options are out there post having a mastectomy.
